Seagoe Football Club - Space & Place Launch

Portacabins and derelict ground have made way for a new state of the art community hub near Portadown as Seagoe Football Club achieves a long-held goal of opening a new facility on the site of its pitch and former clubrooms. The project which received initial funding of £349,521 from the Big Lottery Fund’s Space & Place Programme is one of the first steps which the club hopes will act as a catalyst for regeneration of the area.
 

North Fermanagh Ulster Scots - Space & Place Launch

A new community hub has been created on the site of the old Dromard Hall in the Kesh area of Fermanagh following extensive renovation and extension work undertaken by the North Fermanagh Ulster Scots Association. The new facility which received initial funding of £349,036 from the Big Lottery Fund’s Space & Place Programme will provide a vital community outreach centre for the area which which will play host to a range of community activities and events.
 

Launch of Killylea Silver Band's 'Old School Hall' refurbishment

The group received initial grant funding of £339,573 from the Big Lottery Fund’s Space & Place Programme which it has used to create a much needed new community facility for the Killylea area, with the support of National Lottery players.

A new Community Centre which is set to breathe new life into the Kilcoo area has been officially opened by Eoghain Rua Kilcoo GAC. The project was made possible through the hard work and determination of Kilcoo GAC which had a long held ambition of giving back to the local community. They received funding support of over £350,000 for the Centre from the Big Lottery Fund’s Space & Place Programme thanks to National Lottery players.
 

Eire Og An Charraig Mhor's Space & Place funded community facility opens!

A new outdoor facility is set to provide a welcome boost to the community in Carrickmore including its Special Olympics team as an outdoor gym and athletics standard running track has been created on the site of Pairc Éire Óg in Carrickmore. The project was funded by the Big Lottery Fund through the Space & Place Programme thanks to National Lottery players.

The community in Cashel is celebrating the opening of Cashel Community Centre following a lottery funded transformation which is set to provide a welcome boost to people living in the area. The refurbishment of the old community centre which was carried out by Cashel Community Association, was made possible by initial funding of £337,551 from the Big Lottery Fund’s Space & Place Programme.
 

Burren Vision Space & Place Launch

Co. Down based community group Burren Vision has officially launched a new community hub for the area following initial funding of £346,008 from the Big Lottery funded Space & Place Programme. The new hub has been made possible thanks to support from National Lottery players following the renovation of premises which were originally constructed in the 1970’s.

Launch of Drumahoe District Park

A new district park has been created on the site of the former Faughan Valley School following funding of £1million from the Big Lottery funded Space & Place Programme which enabled the transformation of derelict and unused space in the Drumahoe area. Drumahoe District Park will offer a range of facilities for the benefit of people living in the Derry City and Strabane Council areas, thanks to National Lottery players and the hard work of a number of local organisations.

A new district park and tourist facility has opened in Fermanagh following a £1M investment from the Big Lottery Fund NI’s Space & Place Programme. The project also received the backing of Fermanagh & Omagh District Council, and additional support from the Garfield Weston Foundation. The new Park which was delivered by the North Fermanagh Valley Park Group entailed a unique collaboration between community groups in Kesh and Ederney.

A new community facility has opened in Strabane as a local group completes renovation work on a specially purchased house and land thanks to support from National Lottery players. Strabane Community Project received £317,000 in funding from the Big Lottery’s Space & Place Programme. This enabled the group to undertake two projects which have seen the transformation of a former house into a new Community Hub, creating a permanent meeting space for the community, alongside the creation of a Community Garden which will allow local people and primary school children to grow their own flowers, fruit and vegetables.

A new community facility has opened in Drumsurn, Limavady as the Little Rascals Community Playgroup realises its dream for new premises having spent years in a portacabin. The project received £340,000 in funding from the Big Lottery Funded Space & Place Programme thanks to National Lottery players, and will embody the Playgroup’s ethos of ‘play to grey’.
