On the 27th May, NIEL will be hosting a half–day seminar at the 174 Trust on the topic of “Engaging Heritage with Community Planning”.

Under Local Government Reform, the 11 new District Councils have been given a wide range of powers, including a statutory duty to deliver and implement Community Planning. This seminar will feature a panel of speakers who will discuss the opportunities for the heritage sector, as well as information on how organisations can become involved in the new community–led planning system.
